CCIs’ advisors in Miskolc to talk about reduction of SMEs energy use
The #4 Transnational Learning Network meeting in Miskolc (Hungary) concluded the cycle of Transnational Learning Network meetings for Chambers' advisors. The event gathered 17 CCIs’ advisors, De Montfort University (DMU) and EUROCHAMBRES to discuss results of implemented actions.
After an overview of the energy strategy of Hungary provided by Zorkóczy Zoltán, Cabinet Office of the Hungarian Prime Minister, the advisors had then the opportunity to listen to the direct experience of FUX zrt., a bare overhead conductors production company, which received support from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Borsod-Abáuj-Zemplen. FUX’s representative underlined how STEEEP helped the company to change approach towards the impact of energy costs on their products.
The focus then turned to CCI local advisors’ experience: Cámara Valencia outlined the savings potential and actual energy savings of the supported 24 Spanish SMEs and CCI Deux-Sèvres described in detail the energy monitoring activity of companies from Niort. DMU closed the first day with an overview of the progress of the benchmarking activities.
The second half-day was dedicated to the presentation of the development of the French and Spanish Local Energy Communities and on exchanges among advisors on how to improve collection of energy use data, on current challenges faced by SMEs to monitor energy performance and implement actions and on how potentially continue activities after the end of the project.
