Third Transnational Learning Network meeting in Lyon to exchange best practices on SMEs support
Local Chamber advisors, who are coaching SMEs involved in the STEEEP project, met in Lyon (France) on 9-11 March. The event focused on exchanging practical knowledge and best practices to improve the support offered to SMEs to reduce their energy costs. Group sessions took place to discuss the best approach with companies on the implementation of their Energy Management Plans, the additional tools needed by local CCIs and the type of support offered by each Chamber via the helpdesks.
An ad-hoc meeting also took place for those Chambers involved in the pilot Local Energy Communities (LECs). Energy advisors participating in the LECs had the opportunity to visit the showroom Smart Electric Lyon, an experimental research project to design the future smart city. The STEEEP team exchanged views with the programme manager of the experimentation with businesses. Both teams agreed the focus (and challenge) is to develop tailored solutions for Small and Medium-sized enterprises; tools should be simple and both energy- and business-efficient.
